Bundesverband Alternative Investments e.V. (BAI) is the lobby association for the Alternative Investments industry in Germany and catalyzer between German institutional investors and recognized providers of AI-products worldwide. One goal is to enhance the environment for German professional investors when diversifying their financial assets into Alternative Investments; another objective is to increase the awareness level and the understanding of these asset classes and strategies in public. BAI maintains an intense dialogue with political institutions and supervisory bodies and advocates for legal reforms to design an attractive regulatory environment for the German AI-industry. BAI counts more than 170 members from all areas of the professional Alternative Investments industry.

Bundesverband Deutscher Kapitalbteiligungsgesellschaften – the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK) is the representative of the German private equity industry covering private equity firms, from venture capital through growth capital to buyouts, as well as institutional investors. BVK has almost 190 full and more than 100 associated members.

It is the mission of the BVK to create best possible environmental conditions for the industry in Germany. This requires improving tax and legal environmental conditions for private equity in Germany in dialogue with political and administrative decision-makers, facilitating the access to capital sources, surveying the markets and analysing market trends, and supporting our members in exchanging their experience.
