Ihr Plus in 2020:
Welcome
Tesla is worth more on the stock market than BMW, VW and Daimler combined. Only time will tell whether this assessment is justified. But one thing is clear: it’s a wager on a future in which electromobility powers transportation – and Germany has got the memo too.
For a long time, buyers here stuck to their petrol / combustion engines. But last year, sales of electric cars rose to a record high, and German manufacturers are working flat out to convert their fleets. The federal government's economic stimulus package will likely add extra impetus. Besides giving buyers a bonus, it will also significantly expand the charging infrastructure. This will make this form of mobility even more attractive.
But electric drives alone won’t make the transportation shift happen. Competitive mobility offers will also need to be sustainable and networked – and extend beyond cars and trucks.
There’s a great deal to discuss. I’d be delighted if you took part.
